Two-component compound for preparing modeling paste.
This compound is designed for creating volumetric paintings, bas-reliefs, and reliefs, as well as for strengthening plaster products in sculptures and art objects, and restoring stone and wooden items. The material is strong and elastic, ensuring the preservation and durability of the final product. It has high adhesive properties, allowing it to adhere to any surface, including glass. The compound is plastic and easy to work with, offering a workable time of 60-90 minutes before it starts to cure. After drying, it does not form cracks, even in very thick layers, and is easy to sand, including wet sanding. Full curing time is 24-36 hours.
Description
- The mixture turns into a paste
- For creating big volume
- Plastic, easy to mold
- Air-setting - no baking required
- Durable, crack resistant
- Can be sanded
Instructions for creating volumetric paintings
1. Mixing the Ingredients:
- Combine ingredients A and B in a 2:1 ratio.
- If a more liquid consistency is desired, add water gradually, ensuring it does not exceed 20% of the mixture's total mass.
2. Application:
- Use a palette knife or your hands to mold the mixture.
- Smooth out any irregularities with a damp brush. Be cautious not to use too much water, as it can cause cracks.
3. Adjustments:
- After 12 hours, you can add more volume if needed or sand the surface with sandpaper.
- To minimize dust while sanding, we recommend wet sanding. Dampen the area with a cloth during the process.
4. Curing time:
- Allow 24-36 hours for full polymerization.
5. Painting:
- Once fully dried, the piece can be painted.
- For a white finish, use a white light texture paste.
- For a matte finish, use acrylic ink diluted with acrylic medium.
- For a glossy effect, use fluid art medium.
Instructions for restoration
1. Preparing the Mixture:
- Mix two components in a 2:1 ratio (A+B) in the desired amount.
2. Application:
- Use the mixture to fill in the crack or recreate the necessary fragment.
3. Finishing:
- After the mixture has dried, sand the surface with sandpaper and paint it in the desired color.
- We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before painting to ensure the paste has fully dried.
Storage and shelf life
- 36 months unopened.
- Store at the temperature of 5-25 C.
